LINDSEY B. MOORE

Lindsey MooreLindsey Moore, a North Carolina native, grew up in High Point. A graduate of Western Carolina University, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree concentrating on drawing, painting and graphic design. For twenty-four years Lindsey has enjoyed a successful career as a scenic designer for the Tryon Little Theater in Tryon, NC. His diverse stage background includes large scenic designs for professional, regional and black box productions. He has designed sixty-two professional productions ranging from drama, comedy and musicals including professional opera companies. For twelve years he has designed sets for the Tryon Fine Arts Center’s weeklong Kid’s Summer Camp program for elementary children.

Lindsey has extensive experience in scenic art, carpentry, custom furniture, restaurant/hotel bar design, and corporate identification. In addition, he collaborates with nationally recognized photographers and production studios creating print, video and web-based advertising campaigns for major U.S. and foreign brands. For over a decade he has enjoyed teaching drawing and painting in schools at elementary and secondary levels, in addition to hosting studio enrichment classes for professional artists in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

Additional professional study at painting and design seminars include: the Maine College of Art, Portland and the Upstairs Gallery, Tryon. More recently Lindsey attended the University of Oxford’s Ruskin College of Art in Oxford, England where he received recognition for his studio portfolio. He has worked as an artist and designer while enjoying a flight attendant career for 35 years. Retired from American Airlines, he creates commissioned artwork in his Columbus, NC studio.
